A week-long visit to the Republic of Poland started on 27 June in the framework of the Erasmus+ project “Establishment of the Conference of Rectors of Azerbaijan”. The first meeting of the business trip took place at the Warsaw School of Economics. The meeting was attended by the Advisor to the Minister of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, rectors of Azerbaijani universities and other authorities, members of the project consortium, as well as representatives of the Supervisory Board of Magna Charter and the Hungarian Rectors’ Conference.
Opening the event, the Rector of the Warsaw School of Economics Piotr Wachowiak welcomed the guests and made a detailed presentation about the university.
The rector then spoke about the benefits of membership in the Polish Rectors’ Conference for the university and the Conference of Rectors of Warsaw Higher Education Institutions, of which he is the chairman. Mr. Arkadiusz Mezik, President of the Conference of Polish Rectors, welcomed the Azerbaijani delegation on behalf of the Conference and expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation.
He touched on important issues, related to the establishment of the Conference. Thus, he informed the meeting participants in detail about the history, legal form, status, internal management, main activities, decision-making process, permanent staff, as well as the duties of the Conference secretariat.
Rudolf Smolarczyk, Head of the Central and Eastern Europe and East Asia Department of the German Rectors’ Conference, emphasized the importance of the Rectors’ Conference in terms of enhancing international cooperation between higher education institutions as well as coordinating activities of universities in the country.
He briefed on the main objectives of the German Rectors’ Conference, its composition, structure, and governance of its members. Mr. Rudolph also noted that the Polish and German Rectors’ Conferences regularly cooperate in discussing educational policies and various areas of development.
The meeting concluded with productive discussions between the participants and representatives of the Rectors’ Meetings.

27 iyun tarixində Bakı Biznes Universitetinin koordinatorluğu ilə həyata keçirilən “Azərbaycan Rektorlar Konfransının yaradılması” adlı Erasmus+ layihəsi çərçivəsində Polşa Respublikasına bir həftəlik səfər başlayıb. İşgüzar səfərin ilk görüşü Varşava İqtisadiyyat Məktəbində baş tutub. İclasda Azərbaycan Respublikası Təhsil Nazirinin müşaviri, layihə konsorsiumunun üzvü olan Azərbaycan Universitetlərinin rektorları və digər səlahiyyətləri nümayəndələri, eləcə də Magna Charta Müşahidə Şurasının, Macarıstan Rektorlar Konfransının nümayəndələri iştiak ediblər.
Tədbiri giriş sözü ilə açan Varşava İqtisadiyyat Məktəbinin rektoru Piotr Wachowiak çıxış edərək qonaqları salamlayıb və universitet haqqında geniş təqdimatla çıxış edib. Daha sonra rektor Polşa Rektorlar Konfransına üzv olmağın universitet üçün faydalarından və prezidenti olduğu Varşava Ali Təhsil Müəssisələrinin Rektorlar Konfransı barəsində danışıb. Polşa Rektorlar Konfransının prezidenti cənab Arkadiusz Mezyk isə Konfrans adından Azərbaycan nümayəndə heyətini salamlayıb və əməkdaşlıqdan məmnunluq duyduqlarını ifadə edib. O, Konfransın yaradılması ilə bağlı vacib məqamlara toxunub. Belə ki, Konfransın tarixi, hüquqi forması, statusu, daxili idarəetməsi, əsas fəaliyyət istiqamətləri, qərarvermə prosesi, daimi heyəti, o cümlədən Konfransın katibliyinin vəzifələri haqqında toplantı iştirakçılarına ətraflı məlumat verdi. Arkadiusz Mezyk Konfransın yarandığı gündən indiyə qədər Polşa ali təhsil sisteminə verdiyi töhfələrdən, keyfiyyətin yüksəldilməsi istiqamətində irəli sürülən təkliflərdən və əldə etdikləri uğurlardan bəhs edib. A.Mezyk Konfransın iş dünyası, media nümayəndələri və digər Avropa ölkələrinin Rektorlar Konfransları ilə sıx əlaqələrinin olmasını da diqqətə çatdırdı. Daha sonra Almaniya Rektorlar Konfransının Mərkəzi və Şərqi Avropa, Şərqi Asiya departamentinin rəhbəri Rudolf Smolarczyk Rektorlar Konfransının ali təhsil müəssisələrinin beynəlxalq əməkdaşlığının genişləndirilməsi, eləcə də ölkədə universitetlərin koordinasiyalı fəaliyyət göstərməsi baxımından vacib olduğunu vurğuladı. O, Almaniya Rektorlar Konfransının əsas məqsədləri, üzvlərinin tərkibi, strukturu, idarəedilməsi haqqında məlumatlar verdi. Cənab Rudolf, həmçinin Polşa və Alman Rektorlar Konfransının təhsil siyasəti və müxtəlif inkişaf istiqamətlərinin müzakirəsi üzrə müntəzəm şəkildə əməkdaşlıq etdiklərini vurğuladı. Yekunda toplantı iştirakçıları və Rektorlar Konfranslarının nümayənədləri arasında suallar əsasında faydalı müzakirələr aparıldı.
